What is sports massage?
Sports massage is a deep soft tissue massage consisting of strokes that resemble a Swedish massage. The movements are slow and the pressure is intense.
It is designed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event or function well during training.
You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage as it is good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of movement.
The main aim of sports massage is to release muscle tension whilst restoring balance to the entire body.
